Terraform Labs
An immersive interactive demo site that makes decentralized cloud infrastructure tangible and intuitive for developers.
The Challenge
Make powerful infrastructure feel accessible to developers.
Terraform Labs had built groundbreaking decentralized cloud computing infrastructure, but their technical complexity was a barrier to adoption. Developers knew it was powerful, but couldn't visualize what it actually did or how to interact with it. They needed to bridge the gap between cutting-edge technology and intuitive understanding.
The goal was clear: show, don't tell. Developers needed to see the network in action, understand data flow in real-time, and feel confident spinning up their first test environment.
The Approach
Build an immersive WebGL experience that visualizes the invisible.
We created a 3D visualization engine that renders Terraform's distributed network in real-time. Users can rotate the viewport, zoom into individual nodes, and watch data packets flow across the network topology. The experience updates live as they interact with it.
The interface lets developers explore nodes, inspect performance metrics, and launch test environments directly from the visualization. Every interaction felt responsive and immediate. We paired the WebGL core with a clean data dashboard that translates raw metrics into actionable insights.
The site doubled down on education: embedded tutorials, interactive onboarding, and live documentation that bridges the gap between abstract concepts and practical implementation.
The Result
Developers finally understood the power of decentralized infrastructure.
Within six weeks of launch, Terraform Labs saw a 2x increase in developer conversion rate. Trial activations jumped 180%, and the site earned FWA Site of the Day recognition. The immersive demo became their primary sales tool — developers could see exactly what they'd be building with before committing to a trial.
